In the remake, Leon/Claire starts off with eight spaces for items, however, a Hip Pouch can be used to grant two more spaces and given that players obtain every pouch can upgrade to 20 spaces in a playthrough. As with other RE Engine titles, the inventory is identical to that of Resident Evil 7, with the exception that the game pauses while inside the inventory screen. Bigger weapons, such as Sparkshot or Flamethrower, take up two spaces in the inventory. Some weapon take up two spaces when attached the appropriate upgrade part.

In the remake, Jill's and Carlos' initial inventory is eight spaces, but can be upgraded up to 20 spaces with Hip Pouches, much like in the RE2 remake. However, unlike the original RE3, bigger weapons like the MGL Grenade Launcher or the CQBR Assault Rifle require two spaces in the inventory.
There's no doubt that having one's inventory maxed out in the Resident Evil 2 remake will provide players with better advantages and means for survival. After all, completely upgrading the inventory should give players more room for ammo and their weapons of choice like the Unbreakable Combat Knife, extra healing items such as a First Aid Spray, and other useful objects.
Resident Evil Village will also run on RE Engine, the same engine that powered both Resident Evil VII Biohazard and the remakes of 2 and 3 as well as Devil may Cry 5. As a successor to MT Framework, the RE Engine is capable of much more advanced rendering techniques such as Subsurface Scattering, FXAA, and the capability of outputting 4K video with HDR or VR support as seen in the PlayStation VR mode on Resident Evil VII Biohazard.
The 2019 remake uses the same grid-based inventory system of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and various weapons have different sizes instead of the generic inventory slots of the original. This forces the player to manage their loadouts carefully while also allowing space for ammo and various other items.
Resident Evil 4 was an impactful game for both the franchise itself and gaming as a whole. It redefined Resident Evil and showed fans that it could be much more than anything that had come before. It also illustrated how the series could continue to evolve, especially with its most recent titles having changed from third to first-person perspectives. However, what has remained ever since Resident Evil 4 is its inventory management system. In fact, when Resident Evil 2 and 3 recieved remakes, they also included the new management systems, which helped make gameplay even smoother. 2ff7e9595c
